- Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain supplements 72 hours before treatment.
- Scars Must Be Healed: Only mature scars (over 12 months old) are eligible for treatment.
- Clean Skin: Ensure the area is clean and free of lotions, makeup, or oils on the day of your appointment.

- Keep It Clean: Gently wash with mild soap and water. Avoid touching or scratching the treated area.
- Apply Ointment: Use a thin layer of a recommended unscented ointment to keep the area moisturized.
- Avoid Submersion: No swimming, saunas, or baths for 7–10 days. Showers are fine.
- Sun Protection: Apply SPF 30+ after healing to protect against pigment fading. Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for 4 weeks.
- Expect Healing Changes: Scabbing, flaking, and pigment lightening are normal. Do not pick at the area.
